Algebra 1/2!

Hey everyone!!!! I just got bumped up to advanced math!!!! I'm in 6th grade, but now I'm in a 9th grade math book!!!! It's called Algebra 1/2. Some people think that it's an 8th grade book, but I even checked their website. So... it's kind of finishing off 8th grade math and into 9th. Somewhere around there. But anyway.... I was having a little trouble today telling my teacher about the lessons. But I'll give you 3 good reasons: 1. There were 20 definitions to memorize!!!! 2. It didn't help that I only got a 1/2 hour sleep that night!! 3. Cut me some slack! It's my first day!!!!!!! I have no problem with the lesson, but I don't do the BEST in the conversational part. Wish me luck so that I'll do better on that!!!! Other than that, it's a good math book!! OOOO! I just thought of a number 4!!! 4. The whole process of this whole conversational thing is TOTALLY different than what I was doing before. Anyway, if you have a chance, please comment this post and tell me whether I should be worried or not, and why. If you can't tell me why, I'm ok with that. But right now, I need more reasons. Letting me have your support helps too! ( which, is basically commenting this post. ) I think I'll be ok, because I could tell that even the junior high math teacher on the other side of school had SO much faith in me. I think I tested into Algebra 1 or something, ( which would be the next book ) but I'm not so sure. I have NO idea why they would make a book called Algebra 1/2 though!!! Is it supposed to be half Algebra half reasoning or something? I'm not sure!! This book was something I've been hoping to get into before junior high since 4th grade. I'm really glad to be here, but I need more confidence. Thanks for reading this post! :D - hayhay
